The Boyfriend
Buxom baskets: Kim Kardashian lured to Houston by Kris Humphries
Kris Humphries is a largely unremarkable NBA player. But he comes with some remarkably buxom baggage.
As in Kim Kardashian, the money brilliant reality TV businesswoman (more than $6 million per year in earnings) who is still most known for her assets. The 26-year-old Humphries and the 30-year-old Kardashian have been trading gushing praise about each other in the press (everything about her is "terrific"; "I haven't found one thing wrong with him") as their relationship has gone increasingly public.
And now Humphries' presence has brought Kardashian to Houston.
Humphries, a sometime starter for the New Jersey Nets, is in town for a game against the Houston Rockets tonight. The 6-foot-9 forward (he brings 8.8 points and 9.3 rebounds per game averages) isn't the basketball draw of this rather mundane matchup between non-playoff teams. No, that would be new Nets point guard Deron Williams — the kind of All-Star, difference-making talent the Rockets tried to acquire at the NBA trade deadline, but couldn't.
Yet, Humphries' girlfriend lured much more attention than Williams at the Toyota Center in her all-black outfit. She sat in the front row — and actually was in that seat at the opening tip, a celebrity rarity, especially in late-arriving Houston. The Rockets TV broadcast showed her not once, not twice, but three times — in the game's first eight minutes.
Kardashian tweeted that she'd arrived in Houston several hours earlier Saturday, giving her some pregame time with Humphries.
If you're hoping for some tabloid-worthy canoodling sightings after the game, you likely be out of luck though. NBA teams typically fly out on charters right after their road games. The Nets have a home game against Phoenix on Monday, adding to the urgency.
If Kim Kardashian goes out in Houston tonight, she'll almost assuredly be doing it sans boyfriend.
