Designer trees by national celebs win high favor at Children's Assessment Centerholiday coffee
It isn't every day that a non-profit can claim such celebrity affiliation as that of Kenneth Cole, Rachel Roy and Jessica Simpson. But that's just was the Children's Assessment Center enjoyed for its holiday guild coffee, thanks to Jane Dale Owen, who donated three whimsical Christmas trees decorated by those stars.
The trees were on display in the River Oaks home of Stephanie and Bill Perkins, where guests arrived loaded with toys, gift cards and donations for those served by CAC. In addition to bidding on the trees, fundraising continued throughout the mid-morning fête as guests shopped the wares of Tiffany Natkin with Tickleprint, the taste sensations of Natkin Cooks and the jewelry offerings from Elizabeth Irvine. All were offered with a percentage of sales going to the non-profit.
Stephanie and Ursaline Hamilton chair CAC's annual Spirit of Spring luncheon and reminded guests to save the date — April 5 — for the fundraiser at the Westin Galleria Hotel.
The gathering included a load of CAC Guild board members such as Ericka Bagwell, Anne Carl, Kimberly DeLape, Tena Faust, Amy Lee, Stephen Lewis, Lucinda Loya, Bruce Padilla, Merele Yarbrough, Nancy Golden, Kim Moody and Alicia Smith.
