Houston Ballet patrons step out for Jubilee of Dance and dinner under the footlights

The scoop: Jo and Jim Furr, Martha Rocks and Marvin McMurrey chaired the glam event that began with a spectacular performance saluting Houston Ballet's current and future stars in various dance vignettes. Within 30 minutes of the curtain going down on the one-night-only performance, guests were on stage celebrating the company's talent, enjoying cocktails and dinner with dancers fresh from their performances. In the mix were ballet managing director Jim Nelson and artistic director Stanton Welch.
Amid a festive holiday setting created by Rebekah Johnson, Jackson and Co. provided the dinner that ended with a glorious peppermint fudge Baked Alaska, a fitting finale for the evening that raised close to $100,000.
