Hot Young Things party NYC style on stage at Miller Outdoor Theatre
Hermann Park Conservancy's Urban Green young professionals fundraising bash on Thursday had to be one of the best mixers of the season as the stage of Miller Outdoor Theatre pulsated with a vibrant entourage of several hundred twentysomething/thirtysomething movers and shakers.
For the "Park Avenue: Green Never Sleeps" event, the stage setting echoed the neighborhoods of New York City with food stations capturing the Big Apple's cultural diversity. At "Chinatown," guests noshed on Gigi's Asian Bistro dumplings and crab wontons and egg rolls from P.F. Chang's and sipped green tea. It was New York cheese cake bars and Cosmos at the Park Avenue slot. Candelari's pizza and Prego's Italian tortes were served at "Little Italy" where wine was the preferred libation. And "Coney Island" was awash in Saint Arnold Brewing Company beer and bagel dogs from the Hot Bagel Shop.
And that was the action behind the stage curtain that was only partially open. At the front of the stage overlooking the theater aisles and hillside seating area, Park Avenue chairs Pierce Bush, Jennifer Pritchett and Claire Cormier Thielke and Rick Thielke kept the scene energized while the DJ spun tunes by Michael Jackson, the Black Eyed Peas, Kanye West and Lady Gaga.
Kicking up their heels NYC style were Urban Green chair Annie Criner, silent auction chair Lauren Covey, Divya and Chris Brown, John Andell, Lauren Clark, Brittany Sakowitz and Kevin Kushner, Bryce Kennard, Jessica Ledger and Valerie Palmquist. Making a pass through the party scene were proud parents Yvonne and Rufus Cormier and Susie and Sanford Criner.
