Zac Posen makes the lunching ladies swoon as Fashion Houston fun carries over toNeiman Marcus
The social fallout from Fashion Houston is proving a boon for Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus, both of which carry the looks by any number of the designers presenting at the Wortham Theater Center fashion extravaganza. Neiman Marcus joined the partying fray on Wednesday with a luncheon for popular designer Zac Posen, who had wowed the crowd at Fashion Houston the night before.
Posen proved to be an affable and cooperative sort, visiting with each guest and posing for myriad photographs during the champagne reception.
Neiman's couture evening room was transformed into a Zac Posen pop-up shop featuring his collection that clearly pleased the lunching throng. In fact, frequently during the informal fashion presentation by four models "ooohhs" and "aaahhs" wafted through the luncheon scene.
Posen proved to be an affable and cooperative sort, visiting with each guest and posing for myriad photographs during the champagne reception hosted by Neiman's GM Bob Devlin.
Among those applauding the designs were Lynn Wyatt, Susan Smith, Donna Josey Chapman, Kathy Echols, Joyce Echols, Mimi Levine, Virginia Steppe, Alissa Maples, Kathy Neblett, Neiman's Liz Zaruba and NM couture buyer Renee Prince-Fillip.
Earlier in the week, Saks hosted a luncheon for designerGeorges Chakra who had his designs on the runway at Fashion Houston.
