Kenny Loggins rocks Friends of Stehlin gala with "Footloose," Top Gun's "DangerZone" and more
Music legend Kenny Loggins did not disappoint Saturday night as he cranked out the tunes that put him on the music charts and in the movies. The appreciative crowd of more than 600 kept the dance floor of the Westin Galleria Hotel gyrating throughout his performance.
And as the annual Friends of the Stehlin Foundation gala is known for its high-energy entertainment, the show didn't end with Loggins' performance. The dance fever at the 32nd annual bash continued as Austin's Skyrocket took over, blasting the crowd with hits from the '80s and '90s.
All the fun, of course, had a serious side — raising funds for the Stehlin Foundation's cancer research programs. That they did with gala chairs Gabrielle Patout and Lory Tauber reporting that the night brought in $568,000.
The happy feet crowd included Philip and Heidi Houston, Sally and Bobby Anderson, Donna and Norman Lewis, Elaine and Jim Turner, Kassidy and Gonzalo Villegas, Bill Smolensky, Luis Perez, Veronica and Dana Gompers, Heather Collins, Anne Eguia and Debbie and Jeffrey Krienik.
