Una Notte
Houston sports stars in sharp-looking suits rule the runway at Una Notte in Italia gala
Local charity Bo’s Place welcomed nearly 700 guests to the Royal Sonesta Houston for the 2016 "Una Notte in Italia" gala. The grand soiree and all-male fashion show, chaired by Stacey Soriero and Tiffany Wong along with honorary chairman Debbie Festari, featured a seated Italian dinner and a Riazul Tequila bar.
As guests dined and sipped, 25 posh gentlemen took to the catwalk in fall fashions by Festari for Men.
Models hitting the runway were David Horst of the Houston Dynamo, Houston Astros third baseman Alex Bregman, Olympian Steven Lopez, and Houston Texans players Andre Hal, Christian Covington, and Whitney Mercilus. Also looking good strutting their stuff were businessmen Clay Dugas, George Lugrin, Tony Gibson, Bashar Kalai and Benjamin Berg.
KPRC anchors Dominique Sachse and Andy Cerota served as event emcee and auctioneer, respectively. Cerota, who got a helping hand from co-auctioneer Miss Texas USA 2016 Nancy Gonzalez, presented the live auction, which included trips to Italy and Napa Valley. The fun kept going as the crowd hit the dance floor to tunes spun by DJ Senega.
In all, $350,000 was raised in support of Bo’s Place, which provides free bereavement support to children, families and adults.
Partygoers enjoying the evening were Dr. Roland Maldonado, Mauney Mafrige, Michelle and Rick Perez, Amy Shields Hair, Sippi and Ajay Khurana, Bo's Place development director Andrea Sivells, KPRC's Jennifer Reyna, Michelle and Rick Perez, Carolyn Farb, and Suzette Betts.
