High fashion, Super Bowls and even outer space are hot topics at Art ofConversation fundraiser
City ArtWorks' annual fundraising luncheon is one event where chatter in the audience is encouraged. And so it was that the Junior League of Houston ballroom was abuzz with conversation on everything from the Houston Texans to contemporary art to national event planning.
Jane Page Crump talked on interior design, Becca Cason Thrash on high fashion, Andrea White on her work as an author, David Adickes on his long artistic career and Houston Chronicle NFL columnist John McClain on Super Bowl possibilities. Astronaut Leroy Chiao talked space programs. It was lively and fun for the sellout crowd of 320.
Mady Kades and Catherine Anspon chaired the luncheon that raised funds for the program that provides after-school art classes for 3,000 children in 50 schools across the area.
Contributing to the conversation were Sharon Brier, Chloe Dao, Sybil Roos, Leah Leggett, Linda Williams, Jereann Chaney, Kristi and Guy Rowland, Debbie Goldgar, Deborah Bautista, Christine and Bob Bruce, Poppi Massey and Edlyn and David Pursell.
