More than 475 black-tie guests got in touch with their inner child at the Children's Museum of Houston's gala held on location at the renovated museum building on Binz. Guests strolled through a small town Main Street setting that looked like a set out of Disney World before entering rooms co-ordinated with the "Have a Ball" theme. Designer Rebekah Johnson created a Disco Ball Room with mirrored globes, as well as a Beach Ball Room and Crystal Ball Room. After a multi-course dinner from Jackson and Co., guests burned off calories dancing to the music of the Spazmatics. Co-chairs Jennifer and Lance Gilliam and Courtney and Bo Hopson were thrilled with the results (the event raised $430,000) and already there was talk of using the museum as the site for next year's gala.
