Medical Bridges' "One People, One World Gala" is an inspiring eveningcelebrating good works
Who wouldn't support a non-profit whose mission is to recover medical surplus and distribute the much-needed equipment and medicines to hospitals, clinics and health care providers located in countries in need? More than 300 dedicated believers in the cause turned out in support of the "One People, One World Gala" raising funds for Medical Bridges.
On route to the ballroom at the Hilton Houston-Post Oak, those guests passed through a mock-up of the containers used to ship supplies and viewed a photo display of Medical Bridges recipients.
The evening was chaired by Leisa Holland-Nelson with Mary Ann and David McKeithan serving as honorary chairs. Taking bows were Dr. Eric Orzeck, Volunteer of the Year; Dr. Mark Kline, Medical Honoree; and Margaret Alkek Williams, Community Honoree.
Helping raise the dollars for the cause were Kim and Mike Weill, Dolly and Jeff Thomas, Dr. Ron DePinho, Dr. Linda Chin, Jan Duncan, Jana and Scotty Arnoldy, Anne and John Bookout, Tricia and Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst and Medical Bridges founder Dr. Patricia Brock Howard.
