The ultimate homecoming: Back to College bash brings Texas A&M & UT together, raises $660,000
With college banners hanging from the rafters of The Corinthian, it was something like a massive homecoming party. Indeed, with guests dressed in their college colors, the fundraiser for YES Prep Public Schools was all about supporting the exemplary charter school program.
This third annual "Back to College Bash" drew a loyal crowd of 330, some wearing football jerseys, some strutting their school loyalty in Texas A&M maroon blazers and plenty in University of Texas orange. Despite the competitive spirit between the various school alumni, they all came together to raise $660,000 for the program that requires the college admission of all YES Prep students before high school graduation.
The youthful supporters wined and dined and danced to the sounds of the Spazmatics. Applause, applause to bash chairs Liz and Andy Stepanian and Leslie and Mark Hull.
The lively party crowd included YES Prep's board chairman Joe Greenberg, YES Prep president Jason Bernal, YES Prep CFO Robert McBurnett and wife Christy, Ann and Richard Vaughan, Adrienne Lord, Kevin Connolly, Debra and Mark Gregg, Coble and Jeff Jorgensen, Lindsey and Dan Danges, Estela and David Cockrell and Allison and Don Poarch.
