Hot cars and hotter models give Fashion Houston a high-powered jump start
With little more than five weeks to go before the curtain rises on Fashion Houston 2012, the ever-so-stylish organizers invited a posse of party boys and girls to celebrate at Katsuya in West Ave.
The scene began along a sleek red carpet entrance lined with glamazon male and female models from Neal Hamil and with to-die-for speedsters provided by Momentum Audi, Fashion Houston sponsor. Never far from the center of the action was Fashion Houston founder and Momentum Audi general manager Jared Lang.
While there was plenty of heavy-duty designer fashion being worn for the label-conscious, none was better dressed on this evening than Diane Lokey Farb.
More than 500 strolled through the posh landscape, creating a lively throng in the Japanese restaurant where the Grey Goose flowed and where the kitchen kept a stream of hors d'oeuvres (crispy rice with spicy tuna, seared Albacore with crispy onions, creamy rock shrimp, etc.) coming.
While there was plenty of heavy-duty designer fashion being worn for the label-conscious, none was better dressed on this evening than Diane Lokey Farb. She wore an embroidered Louis Vuitton dress with fur pockets and a jeweled belt and carried a matching fur bag from Paris. And that was only fitting as she is the 2012 Fashion Houston Icon, which means that you'll see a stunning selection from her enviable designer closets on display on her special night.
Revving their engines for Fashion Houston were designers David Peck, Chloe Dao and Jerri Moore, 2011 Fashion Houston Icon Becca Cason Thrash, jewelry designer Frasier Lipton in from Santa Monica, artist Taft McWhorter, Dominique Sachse and Nick Florescu, Diane and Michael Caplan, Michelle Yeglic, Amber Willis, Jennifer LeGrand, Elizabeth Petersen, David Cordua and on and on.
