Hunky models in uniforms and fashionistas pack a new downtown hotel for hot fashion designer's runway show
What: Fashion Meets Hospitality, David Peck Fall/Winter 2014 Runway Show.
Where:JW Marriott Houston Downtown.
The 411: Even though it was a school night, the atmosphere was festive as more than 750 fashionable Houstonians packed the lower level of the new JW Marriott Houston Downtown hotel for two runway shows in one. David Peck showcased the new uniforms he designed for employees of the hotel and then presented his fall/winter collection, with 55 looks, ranging from day dresses to glittery evening wear. (Look to CultureMap soon for a complete review and video of the collections.)
In a brief break between the two shows, hunky models in the new Marriott uniforms sold raffle tickets for shopping sprees at Peck's new Montrose boutique and stays at the new hotel, with proceeds going to Dress for Success. The organization's exec Lauren Levicki Courville, who attended with husband Kyle Courville, was thrilled.
Who: Among the fashion trendsetters in the crowd were Carrie Colbert and Bob Hogan, Neal Hamil, fashion designers Chloe Dao, Toni Whitaker, Amir Taghi and Gayla Bentley, Dawn Bell, Cindi Rose, who rumor has it is slated for a reality show to be filmed in Houston, Jeff Shell, Julie Rhodes, Karina Barbieri, Kim Padgett, Heather McLeskey and Shawn Conerly.
