Shelby's Social Diary
The stakes were high and spirits soared 49 floors above the city at the HealthMuseum Casino Night
We loved the 49th floor view offered by the Downtown Club — Plaza on Friday night. In fact, we couldn't keep our eyes off of the panorama of twinkling lights to the west even while the craps, black jack and poker tables beckoned. But there were plenty among the 300 in the Health Museum Casino Night crowd that were intent on parting with their dollars in the name of the non-profit.
Food stations, refueling stations and gaming tables spread across the high-level terrain for an evening of non-stop action. And kudos to the crooner in the white dinner jacket who delivered a Sinatra note throughout the night.
Casino Night chairs Eva Farha and Grace Carter and museum president and CEO Jon Iszard were pleased with the proceeds that totaled $40,000. Silent auction chair Sharon George had to be pleased with the vast array of auction items that drew heavy bidding.
Among the partying throng were Cindy Iszard, Jared Lang and Cara Morales, Gina and Dr. Devinder Bhatia, Maidie Ryan, Sue Walden, Drew Wilson, Dr. Brian Parsley, Zeina Fares, Beth Bryant with James Jones and Angelica and Sonad Nassar.
