Hot new restaurant in Rice Village rocks the sedate neighborhood as 450 partygoers pour in
Charles Clark and Grant Cooper have sprinkled their restaurant magic in the Rice Village and if the preview party is any indication of success, their newest baby, Coppa Osteria, is bound for the glory enjoyed by the Clark Cooper Concepts family that includes Ibiza, Brasserie 19 and Coppa on Washington Avenue.
More than 450 eager fans poured into the new digs on Morningside to sample executive chef Brandi Key's arancini, caponata crostini, prosciutto and truffle bread sticks, pork sausage on polenta, meatball sliders and more. As the partygoers perused the eatery that echoes Coppa with the addition of a pizza oven and dough window, they saluted the evening's spotlighted non-profit, Texas Children's Cancer Center.
Among the enthusiastic first-lookers were Dominique Sachse and Nick Florescu, Suzy Simons, Romy Mitchell, Katarina Tehlirian, Audrey Collins, Lisa McCoy, Marcy de Luna, Eric Sandler, Dr. ZoAnn Dreyer, Melisa Landry and Jalane Theis.
