Steamy Night in Houston
Hotties and hunks take over Club Cle after premiere of action film with Houston connection
Houston plaintiffs attorney/newcomer film actor Jason Gibson beamed in the spotlight at Sundance Theaters with the local premiere of his action film Blunt Force Trauma. The party began with a red carpet reception in the movie house's bar, continued with the screening and concluded late into the night at Club Cle in Midtown.
While the film's stars — Ryan Kwanten, Freida Pinto and Mickey Rourke — weren't on hand, honchos in the production were. In from LA was producer Gary Preisler and joining the event from New York was former New York Police Department officer, writer and director Ken Sanzel. The turnout included more than a few hotties and would-be starlets who clearly raised the voltage at both the theater and the nightclub.
Gibson, a former college boxer who maintains his muscle-bound physique, plays a rough and tumble bad dude in the film that follows the lives of two gunfighters in an underground dueling culture. Our hometown talent has a few other more significant roles in the works including one with Al Pacino, Sir Anthony Hopkins and Josh Duhamel.
Joining the private after-party at Club Cle were Jacy and Grant Cooper, Lauren Taft, Miya Shay, Deborah Elias, Edward Sanchez, Jerri Moore, Neal Hamil, Liz Decker, Debbie Pakzaban, J. Michael Solis, Nixon Wheat, Meghann Smith, Andrew Chonowski and Carolyn Farb.
