A female Hall of Fame takes shape in the middle of Tootsies
Usually it is beefy athletes who step up to the plate to receive hall of fame honors. But it was a hit parade of winners of a different sort Tuesday night when the Greater Houston Women's Chamber of Commerce announced its 2011 Hall of Fame inductees.
Rather than prowess on the playing field, these women are being noted for their contributions to the advancement of women in the business community and in other arenas and their contributions toward making Houston an even better place to live. And what better place to hold the event than in the sparkling new Tootsies at West Ave with Mickey Rosmarin as host.
The lineup of honorees who will be presented at the Hall of Fame Gala on Dec. 8: Donna Bruni, Phoebe Tudor, Diane Lokey Farb, Jamie Vazquez, Paula Harris, Dr. Eugenie Kleinerman, Ayse McCracken, Trini Mendenhall Sosa and Mary Vitek. Receiving the Living Legend Award is Lynn Wyatt.
Congratulating the honorees and welcoming more than 200 guests were gala chairs Philamena Baird and Pattie Dale Tye, honorary gala chair Ellie Francisco and Greater Houston Women's Chamber president Leisa Holland-Nelson.
Among the fashionables strolling the sleek aisles of Tootsies were Susan Krohn and Patrick Gehm, Margaret Williams, Guyla Pircher, Monica Hartland, Pam Lovett, Shushana Castle, Sofia Adrogué, Dana Kervin, Roxann Neumann, Christi Parker, Leila Perrin and Kelly Zuniga.
