Spring Fling brings the ladies out to shop, eat and coo over a sweetie designer
That sweetie designer David Peck went beyond the typical call when he welcomed a coterie of Covenant House Texas Guild members and their friends into his new showroom in Upper Kirby for a results-orientated get-together that included a 20 percent donation of everything sold to the non-profit. Most often retailers make that a 10 percent donation.
While shopping was on each of the ladies' minds, the annual Spring Fling also presented the opportunity to sign up for volunteer committees and to commit to helping out with birthday parties, special events, parenting enrichment classes, the spring gala and the like.
Organizing the social that included bubbly and light bites from Roots Bistro were chairs artist Hahn Tran and Jackie Fair and guild president Amanda Crump.
Designer Peck welcomed the ladies who included Covenant House Texas CEO Ronda Robinson, Cheryl Boblitt, Mary Eads, Christina Zhou, June Reeder, Yubi Escalona, Julie Rogers, Truluck's owner Patti Turner and daughter Kaitlin Mooney, fashion blogger Annina Stefanelli and Sharon Sanders.
