Dominic Walsh Dance Theater 10th anniversary gala a delightful night of danceand schmoozing
For Dominic Walsh Dance Theater supporters, the 10th anniversary celebration proved to be a delightful marathon that began with socializing and dance at the Hobby Center and then more socializing, accompanied by a late-night dinner, at the Four Seasons Hotel.
The "Lasting Impressions" gala, chaired by Jo Furr and Erin Furr Stimming, began with cocktails at the Hobby as a warm-up for the premiere performance of the company's Camille Claudel. Though the evening ran longer than expected, a robust dinner crowd arrived at the Four Seasons after 10 p.m. for the second act of the black-tie evening.
The gala honored long-time patron of the dance troupe Carolyn Farb with the Spirit of Dance Award, presented to her by Dominic Walsh. Helping the coffers to fill on this night that raised close to $150,000 was auctioneer Eric Andell. Walsh made a special plea for the audience to up their generosity to make it possible for the group to present Camille Claudel at the Aspen Fringe Festival in June.
Joining the party were Jim Furr, Chris Stimming, Martha Adger and James Madget, Amy Fote and Nicholas Leschke, Monsour Taghdisi and Henry Richardson, Barbara and Dr. Tom Solis, Tony Abyad, Mary and Vincent Kickerillo, Kelli Kickerillo and Todd Forester and Stacy and John Andell.
