Artfully drawn
Nearly bare & buff bodies make Fashion Now After Party at Gigi's a night toremember
After the big Simon Fashion Now runway show ended at The Galleria Thursday night, the party wasn't over. In fact, it was just getting started.
The fashionable set headed to the outdoor area of Gigi's Asian Bistro in another part of the mammoth mall, where owner Gigi Huang and bar mixologist Blake Harris welcomed them with a wild disco-themed party. It was the fourth time that Huang has hosted an after party following the fashion show and each one has gotten bigger and more audaucious.
"I enjoy the opportunity to get creative with the entertainment," said Huang, who wore a red off-the-shoulder cocktail dress and had a temporary dragoon tattoo on her arm for the occasion.
"I enjoy the opportunity to get creative with the entertainment," said Huang.
The "After Party at Gigi's" featured a woman whose body was artfully painted with cherry blossoms, reflecting the beautiful sculpture in the restaurant's main dining room and other models with the Stoli logo painted on their breasts. Artist Rudy Campos and Mott Leonino, owner of Art For Your Head, were responsible for creating the fantastic body art.
Not to be outdone, four hunky men whose bare chests each spelled out one letter of Huang's first name roamed the room. The Neal Hamil Agency furnished the male eye candy while the women were from J&D Entertainment.
Huang had introduced the "G-I-G-I boys" at last fall's after party, where they served the restaurant's signature Lychee martinis. For this party, she partnered with Stolichnaya to serve the new Stoli Sticki and Stoli Hot vodkas to the more than 500 guests. Harris created two new drinks, the Texas Heat Wave and the Sticky Cranberry Martini, using the new vodka flavors.
Go-go dancers on lighted boxes danced amid the crowd, which included Momentum Audi general manager Jared Lang, Galleria assistant director of marketing Colin Moussa, Diane Lokey Farb and Mark Sullivan, Neal Hamil, Luis Perez, David Bamford, Mary Smith, Kitch Taub, Dr. Roland Maldonado and Joel Binkley, Cara Crafton, Houston magazine editor Jeff Gremillion, Miriam Habib, Dick Dace, Todd Ramos, Yasmine Haddad, Fady Armanious and Shelley Taylor.
