M.D. Anderson leaders discuss future of cancer care at volunteer endowment luncheon

The scoop: M.D. Anderson president Dr. Ron DePinho captivated the gathering of 350 with his talk on the future of cancer care. Joining the program were Rick Reitz, chair of the VEPS disbursement committee and Melvyn Klein, chair of M.D. Anderson’s Board of Visitors.
Since its founding by the late George Vietor in 1991, VEPS has distributed more than $2.7 million for programs that provide special care, education and assistance to M.D. Anderson patients.
