I know you want tell anyone and no one is supposed to know, but the tom-toms are beating across H-Town that one of our own has earned a reality TV star turn on The Bachelorette. A male counterpoint toErica Rosein the making?

He's tall, dark and handsome, a party personality around town and the initial face of Dorsia. That would be Kalon Joseph Reid McMahon, who was on the scene recently in the Tootsies Valentine's fashion event and whose Facebook page has suddenly disappeared. If true, it would make sense that he recently broke up with a girlfriend, another element of this storyline.

The rumor continues that Kalon is in an undisclosed location filming for The Bachelorette.

Alas, the whole thing is top secret, so no one is saying yay or nay. We'll just have to keep our ears to the pavement.

In any event, we wonder if he's really the guy for Emily Maynard, next up on The Bachelorette. As her bio says, "In the past seven years, she has been looking for someone with the same spark she has for life, and she believes that she will find her soul mate on The Bachelorette."

But will it be Kalon? And is Kalon even on the program? Inquiring minds want to know.

The scoop: Members of the Houston Symphony's Young Associates Council and friends raised a glass — or several, but who’s counting for a good cause. The exclusive and charming evening drew eager oenophiles and symphony fans who enjoyed a thoughtfully curated experience for the taste buds and the soul.

The evening opened with a lively cocktail hour, where the chic A-listers mingled over hand-crafted potions. Chef Michael O'Connor's Andiron team prepared a multi-course tasting menu, with each dish paired with a selection of wines and spirits that elevated the flavors. Adding a touch of melodious elegance, Houston Symphony musicians Boson Mo on violin and Sheldon Person on viola performed a set featuring Spanish and French arrangements. Europe without a plane ride? We’re in.

With Aprill Nelson, Carrie Brandsberg-Dahl, and Kirby Lodholz at the helm, the proceeds contributed to the Houston Symphony’s Wine Dinner and Auction, directly supporting the symphony’s Education and Community Engagement programs.
