Dining with the dinosaurs: HMNS scores big with another million-dollar black-tiegala
It was indeed Viva la Vida at the Houston Museum of Natural Science on Saturday when 750 revelers poured into the museum to party in the Grand Hall and dine amid the dinosaurs in the Hall of Paleontology or in the Lester and Sue Smith Gem Vault surrounded by dazzling bling. By night's end, it added up to a $1 million party. Not the cost. The proceeds.
And that was happy news to gala chairs Vanessa and Tony Sanchez and Eleanor and Dan Gilbane. Of course, there was an equally big smile on the face of museum present Joel Bartsch.
Following the Latin-themed dinner, guests poured back into the Grand Hall for dancing to the sounds of the Groove Republic from Miami.
The party crowd included HMNS board chair Randa Duncan Williams and husband Charles Williams, Laurie and Reed Morian, Windi and David Grimes, Greggory and Patrick Burk, Courtney and Jason Fertitta, Loretta and Bob Moses, Kelly and Bill Montgomery, Tani and Tony Sanchez, Susanne Bartsch, Melinda and Sam Stubbs and Jeanie Kilroy and Ed Becnel.
