We've wined and we've dined and we've partied all year,
Having a ball and spreading good cheer.

So before we offer our final adieu
To the year that is ending, making way for the new,
We pause in our rush to embrace 2012
As into the past we merrily delve.

In 2011, the galas were many.
Surely, we went to them all, if to any.

And who did we see as we covered the scene?
The Alley Theatre's Jane Gladden and Dean.
Patrick Summers, C.C. Conner, Stanton Welch, Perryn Leech
The gents of the arts were there within reach.

Margaret Williams, Lynn Wyatt, Rose Cullen, Donna Bruni.
The divas stepped out in Chanel and Fortuny.

The guys in their tuxes were ever so handsome:
David Dewhurst, Steve Adger, Mr. Lummis as in Ransom.
Andrew Echols, Don Mafrige, Scott McClelland, Joe Pyne,
Steven Owsley, Kevin Kushner, Rob Jackson, Martin Fein.

The ladies were lovely in their high-fashion frocks
Sarah Simon, Lucinda Loya, Janet Gurwitch, Cathy Brock.
Franci Crane, Martha Long, Cortney Cole, Alex Knight,
Deborah Duncan, Dominique Sachse and Pamela Wright.

Let's not overlook the partying throng
That seems to have stamina the whole night long.
Neal Hamil, Elizabeth Petersen, Mark Sullivan and Cerón,
Melissa and Michael Mithoff, this list goes on.
John Thrash, Tod Eason and Gregory Fourticq,
Randy Powers, Bill Caudill — they can party all week.

And what about the talents who made the nights soar?
