Global burger joint Shake Shack set to open 3rd drive-thru Houston locale in Bay Area
Residents of Houston’s Bay Area will soon be dining on ShackBurgers and cheese fries. Shake Shack’s newest Houston-area location will open in Webster on Thursday, December 21.
Located at 19677 Gulf Fwy., the new Shake Shack will be the Houston-area’s third Shack with a drive-thru. It joins locations in Sugar Land and Katy that opened earlier this year as part of the restaurant’s commitment to opening drive-thru locations in suburban areas. Diners may expedite their orders by ordering online via the company’s website or through an app.
Whether opting for dine-in or drive-thru, customers will dine on the same food that’s made the chain a worldwide success. The company's iconic ShackBurger starts with premium beef that's cooked on a griddle, topped with both the signature ShackSauce and vegetables, and served on a potato bun. A vegetarian mushroom burger and fried chicken sandwich are also available. Fries, shakes, and frozen custards round out the experience.
Houston locations also feature the Lockhart Link burger. Only available in Houston, Austin, and San Antonio, it’s made with jalapeño-cheese sausage sourced from legendary Texas barbecue joint Kreuz Market.
Shake Shack will celebrate the grand opening by donating $1 per sandwich sold to the Southern Smoke Foundation, the Houston-based non-profit that provides mental health care and emergency assistance to hospitality workers in crisis situations. In addition, the “first wave” of customers will receive a Shake Shack cold cup with a cowboy boot on it.
The new Shake Shack will open daily at 10:30 am.
