Australian-inspired, NYC-based coffee shop brews up opening date for new Woodlands location
A New York City-based, Australian-inspired coffee shop and cafe arrives in The Woodlands this week. Bluestone Lane will open its new location this Thursday, July 27.
Located at 1900 Lake Woodlands Dr., the new Bluestone Lane joins the company’s outposts in the Heights, Rice Village, and near the Galleria. It features a mural by local artist Shelbi Nicole.
In press materials, the new cafe is described as having being inspired by plant life. Diners will also find an outdoor patio and an indoor community table where groups can gather.
Bluestone Lane takes its inspiration from coffee shops and cafes in founder and CEO Nicholas Stone’s hometown of Melbourne, Australia. Among other innovations, it takes credit for being one of the first coffee shops in America to introduce two Australian staples: smashed avocado toast and the flat white. It also roasts coffee and offers an array of lifestyle products.
More than a coffee shop, Bluestone Lane operates as a full service restaurant with a substantial coffee program. In addition to several toasts, diners will find a range of dishes including bowls, salads, and sandwiches. In addition to coffee, the beverage offerings also include tea, juices, and smoothies.
“Our goal is to create cafes where people can not only enjoy exceptional coffee and food, but also connect with one another and the vibrant community around them,” Stone said in a statement. “The Woodlands is known for its livability and close community feel — both things that lend themselves naturally to the Bluestone Lane brand — and we are excited to become a part of this vibrant area.”
In addition to opening a new location, Bluestone Lane is also participating in Bumble’s “Summer of Kindness” promotion. From July 26-31, customers who purchase a small hot or cold brew will receive a second one to give to someone else. The giveaway is available beginning at 1 pm.
Bluestone Lane is open daily from 7:30 am - 5 pm.
