Bottoms up!
Where to get into the holiday spirit on Christmas Day: These bars are open
Planning on going out this weekend, but not sure which watering holes will be open for a little Christmas Day Liquid Cheer? We hear you.
While it is usually not a problem finding someplace to grab a drink on Christmas Eve, for instance, Anvil is open on December 24th from 4 p.m. until 2 a.m. and The Capitol is open on Christmas Eve from 6 p.m. until 2 a.m., these and many other places close up shop on December 25th. Should you want to booze it up Christmas Day, however, let us take the guesswork out of where to go. This list is for you.
The Usual Suspects (do these places ever close?)
Marfreless
Doors open starting at 8 p.m. on December 25th.
Kenneally's
This Irish Pub, one of my favorite casual hang out spots, is open from 5 p.m. until 2 a.m.
Also Open On Christmas Day
Red Lion Pub
Another great laid back option, the Red Lion will be open from 11:30 a.m. until 10 p.m.
Kung Fu Saloon
Located on Washington Avenue, Kung Fu offers an interesting cocktail menu that includes a pickle juice martini. Open from 2 p.m. until 2 a.m.
Hughes Hangar
The holiday décor and indoor Christmas lights at Hughes Hangar will keep you in the holiday spirit. Open from 8 p.m. until 2 a.m.
Wonder Bar
With its Tubetinis, TV screens featuring live Twitter feeds and brightly colored, graffiti-filled walls, Wonder Bar is definitely lively and festive. Get your drink on early - this bar opens at 10 a.m.
