Sushi in The Woodlands
Inner loop sushi favorite snares final spot in Woodlands patio-filled restaurant row
Another inner Loop restaurant is making the move north. The Howard Hughes Corporation announced on Monday that it has signed The Blue Fish, a sushi restaurant with locations in Dallas and Houston, to become the seventh and final occupant of Restaurant Row at Hughes Landing in The Woodlands.
Known for its Japanese cuisine and lively atmosphere, The Blue Fish will join Escalante, California Pizza Kitchen, Del Frisco's Grille, Fogo de Chao, Local Pour and Truluck's in the development. All of the restaurants feature outdoor patios with views of Lake Woodlands.
"Now fully leased, Restaurant Row offers a variety of outstanding cuisine in a dynamic, walkable environment," said Paul Layne, executive vice president of master planned communities for The Howard Hughes Corporation in a statement. In addition to restaurants, Hughes Landing offers a variety of retailers that include both Starbucks and the first Whole Foods in the area. That diversity appealed to The Blue Fish.
“We are very selective when it comes to growth in a new market. Hughes Landing is a beautiful development in a prime location for our brand, so we knew it would be a recipe for success," added Blue Fish executive Sarah Johnson. "We look forward to serving the area."
