Thanksgiving can be quite a stressful holiday. You have to start cooking and baking days in advance, you worry about poisoning people with turkey that isn’t cooked enough or starving people if your dishes taste like mush. Then there’s the judgment and criticism from your extended family if your pie doesn't taste like how grandmother makes it.
This year, leave it to the experts and enjoy the holiday. Here is who to call in Houston to get your complete Thanksgiving meal.
- Whole Foods Market: With choices for turkey lovers, vegetarians, and vegans, Whole Foods has every eating style covered. The classic turkey dinner includes a Diestel roasted turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberry sauce, and dinner rolls for $84.99 for six to eight guests. New this year is a Southern Turkey Dinner with sides of pecan cornbread stuffing, macaroni and cheese, creamed spinach, and pecan pie ($129.99 for six to eight guests). There is also a hickory smoked ham complete dinner ($99.99), and a rib-eye dinner ($159.99). A holiday sides package is $49.99 and includes whipped potatoes, cornbread dressing, green beans, cranberry sauce, and gravy, or a vegetarian side option for $39.99 including hazelnut fig roast, whipped sweet potatoes, roasted Brussels sprouts, cranberry sauce, and rolls. - Kroger: There are two options for turkey eaters — For $39.99 serving six to eight guests, you choose a 10-12 lb Premium Select roasted turkey, a Logan Farms Ham, or a smoked turkey. The meal comes with cornbread, gravy, rolls, Coke and one pumpkin or apple pie. For a fried turkey serving six to eight guests with the same side dishes and dessert, the cost is $54.99.
