Paris on White Oak: A French bistro is going into Houston's new restaurant row
It seems like these days you can find almost anything in the Heights — and soon that will include an authentic French bistro.
Salé Sucré (French for salty and sweet, I think) is moving into the former White Oak Bakery space, next door to Tacos A Go-Go on Houston's newest restaurant row.
Sources onsite tell CultureMap that the new restaurant's owner Philippe Harel (who we are assuming is not the French actor and director) is from France and will be creating a casual, authentic bistro space, with whitewashed wood walls, local artists customizing the tabletops and a large bar area serving plenty of wine, bien sur.
Heightsians should look for an opening before the end of the year.
Are you looking forward to trying Salé Sucré? What else should go in on White Oak?
