Grim news for Greenway: Laurier Café closes after 10 years in an "eccentric"building

A longtime favorite in the underserviced Greenway area has shuttered.

Laurier Café & Wine, a small but sophisticated spot on Richmond, was in business for 10 years before closing on Saturday.

"Our lease was up for renewal and we elected not to renew. We enjoyed our time there and love and appreciate our customers, but our eccentric building had run its course," owner Kelly Kimberly tells CultureMap.

Kimberly says that Laurier Café or a successor will return in a new location to be determined.
