Firefighters are battling a three-alarm fire at Agora, the popular coffee bar in Montrose. Hundreds of spectators in Halloween costumes stood outside the bar near the corner of Westheimer and Dunlavy early Sunday morning and watched as flames burst through the roof. Firefighters are also battling a blaze at an antique shop next door, where the fire apparently started.
Fox News reports the fire broke out around 12:30 a.m. There did not appear to be any injuries. Police have cordoned off two blocks of Westheimer at the 2700 block of Dunlavy.
The Daily Cougar reports that around 2:30 a.m. a man dressed as Charlie Brown on a bicycle clipped his wheel on a fire hose and fell. Medics attended to him but he did not appear seriously hurt.
