Rocbar jolts back into our consciousness upon closing; Double Cross bringsmartinis to Midtown
Oct 20, 2010 | 2:11 pm
I must admit — I wasn't aware Rocbar was still open until I saw it closed, with a sign on the door promising "the biggest and most dynamic entertainment destination in Houston, expected to open in winter 2011." Rocbar lasted four years in the spot.
Meanwhile, Landmark Houston Hospitality Group (Hearsay, 51 Fifteen) is bringing an "upscale martini lounge" called Double Cross, after the vodka, to Midtown at 114 Gray Street. Landmark is the group that's converting the old 1950s Boy Scouts building in Midtown into a mixed-used development.
