Torchy's Tacos may not have pleased some of the critics around town, but judging by the permanent line of cars waiting to get into the parking lot of the original Houston location on South Shepherd, locals seem to disagree.
In July, the Austin-based taco shop announced plans for a second location on 19th Street in the former Harold's in the Heights building (still under construction) and now Torchy's is planning a third.
Torchy's has executed a lease at 2400 Times Blvd. in Rice Village in the former Gugliani's space on the corner of Times and Morningside, although there's no word yet on an anticipated opening date.
Let the Trailer Park taco madness begin! You know, because parking in the Village wasn't hard enough already.
