Bobby Flay, one of The Food Network's most popular personalities and the restaurateur behind New York's Mesa Grill and Bar Americain, is heading to Houston this fall.
On Oct. 19, he'll be at Sur La Table in River Oaks Shopping Center at noon and at Barnes & Noble in The Woodlands at 6 p.m. signing copies of his upcoming cookbook, Bobby Flay's Throwdown!
The book features 100 of the most popular recipes from his show of the same name, where Flay competes with individuals who have made a name mastering one signature dish, from chicken cacciatore to coconut cake.
Flay has been to Houston once before, of course. He challenged Cin Chili's Cindy Reed Wilkins, the only back-to-back winner of the Terlingua Chili Cookoff, back in 2006, with the contest ending in a draw. We're hoping that's one recipe that made it into the book.
