Moxie's Comes to Houston
One of Canada's most popular restaurants is coming to the Galleria area

Another restaurant group from the north has set its site on Houston, but this time it isn't from Dallas. Moxie's Grill & Bar, one of Canada's largest restaurant chains, will open at the corner of Post Oak and Westheimer, Weingarten Realty announced Monday (confirming a site plan Swamplot spotted last week).
The 10,000 square-foot, two-story restaurant will combine both the former home of Canyon Cafe, which closed in March, and Relax the Back, which moved to a different location in the shopping center. Weingarten expects the restaurant to open next summer.
Credit Dallas Stars owner Tom Gaglardi for bringing Moxie's to the States. Billed as a "premium-casual" chain that serves "globally inspired comfort food", the restaurant's menu goes with a wide-ranging approach that covers bar food staples like pizza and burgers but also includes a riff on sushi and a number of steaks.
The restaurants are divided into a bar/lounge space and more traditional, restaurant-style seating. Late night dining, a full selection of wine, beer, and cocktails, and plenty of TVs for game watching help round out the experience.
