Who wants a sandwich
Buzzworthy purveyor of 'bomb sandwiches' opens in Houston next week
The wait for "bomb sandwiches" has almost come to an end.
East Hampton Sandwich Co. — the Dallas-based restaurant known for its high quality sandwiches and stylish atmosphere — will open its first Houston location on May 31 in River Oaks Distrct (next to Hopdoddy). A second location will open in Montrose on Westheimer later this summer.
As the name implies, East Hampton takes its inspiration from the East Coast. Decor elements include white oak, coastal-inspired art, and vintage furniture.
East Hampton takes a craft approach by offering set combinations of ingredients, sourcing bread locally, and roasting all of its meats in-house. On the menu, diners will find signature items like the lobster roll, the turkey, bacon, and avocado, and the fried chicken jack. The offerings also includes a selection of salads and soups. In the morning, look for breakfast tacos and doughnuts. Beverage options include lemonade (rocks or frozen), wine, and craft beer.
“We make the sauces and craft some pretty bomb sandwiches," founder Hunter Pond told CultureMap in December. "The flavor profiles are pretty unique, because the sauce combinations are pretty killer and the meats we roast in house aren’t full of nitrates.”
On opening date, the restaurant will host a special grand opening party from 6 to 9 pm. The first 200 people will receive a free lobster roll and other treats. Regular hours for both locations will be 7 am to 9 pm.
