Ouisie's Table has been a River Oaks favorite for over 15 years, and proprietor Eloise Adams Jones has been serving up her refined Southern favorites for nearly 40.
But now, for the first time, Jones is opening a new restaurant concept that will go beyond Ouisie's Table. She has signed a lease to take over the corner space at 2810 Westheimer, which is currently the home of Tony Mandola's Miracle Location, a temporary home for Mandola and his customers during construction of the new Waugh location of Tony Mandola's Gulf Coast Kitchen.
Jones says the new concept will be more casual, with an eclectic American bistro menu and plenty of Southern flair. Could this be the Southern version of Brasserie Max & Julie/Cafe Rabelais? Jones says fans will still find some Ouisie's Table favorites at the yet-unnamed restaurant, which is scheduled to open in September.
Are you looking forward to more from Ouisie? What should she name the new place?
