Move over, Caswell: Max's Wine Dive also craved by the Food Network
Bryan Caswell won't be the only Houston chef on The Food Network this summer.
San Diego food critic and host Troy Johnson stopped in Houston on Thursday to film a segment at Max's Wine Dive for the new show Crave. Crave follows Johnson's travels around the world looking for the best food, and aims to "shed light on how a particular dish or trend started, how it's made, the science behind it, and even the loyal people that are nuts about the flavor — just like him."
Meeting with Max's executive chef Michael Pellegrino, the segment focuses on the secrets behind Max's famous fried chicken. There's no word yet on when the Max's feature will air, but Crave is slated to premiere in June 20 and will air Monday nights at 8 p.m. after Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.
Is Max's the best fried chicken in Houston? Where else should Johnson head around town?
