Keep on truckin' with Haute Wheels, Houston's first food truck festival
Food truck fever has swept Houston, and it's time to celebrate.
Haute Wheels is the first-ever food truck festival in Houston, taking place May 14-15 at Houston Community College West Loop Center. Similar festivals in Los Angeles, Boston and Austin have sold out, and the Haute Wheels weekend is set to do the same, offering a mix of food (from trucks and vendors), drinks, music and more.
Some of Houston's most well-known food trucks will be on-site — including Zilla Street Eats, Bernie's Burger Bus, Fusion Taco, and Frosted Betty Bake Shop. But it's also a great time to check out other new and under-the-radar trucks, like Phamily Bites (banh mi and pho), Good Dog Hot Dogs, The Rolling Hunger (Korean tacos and more) and Snowdog Ice Cream.
Haute Wheels will also have a Wine & Beer Garden featuring Saint Arnold's beers and more, as well as performances by The Tontons and Sideshow Tramps. Tickets are $16 for a one-day pass and include five drink samples or one full-size alcoholic beverage.
