- Benjy's on Washington has a patio just begging for brunchers. To hell withdinner reservations, do V-Day here!
This month’s edition of Bottom’s Up! is a tribute to Valentine’s Day. For all of you romantics, head over to either Benjy’s location and order the Elderflower Elixir, stat.
A mix of champagne and elderflower liqueur, this charming champagne cocktail is light and ever-so-slightly sweet. It pairs perfectly with the brunch menu (the Washington location is now also open for brunch), although champagne is always appropriate.
So to hell with dinner reservations, celebrate with an Elderflower Elixier over brunch — or in bed.
Elderflower Elixir
- St.-Germain Elderflower Liqueur
- Your champagne of choice
- Seasonal berries — muddle or purchase a purée. We used raspberries for a Valentine's Day appropriate blush.
In a champagne flute, pour one to two ounces (equivalent to a two-second pour) of St.-Germain elderflower liqueur. Add champagne and top off with muddled or puréed berries. Best served with chocolate.
