G'Day Every Day
New Midtown high-rise offers Houston's largest pool deck and more
An architectural first that Houstonians have been eagerly awaiting since last summer is officially open. Drewery Place, the $200-million development and site of Midtown's first residential tower, is the first phase of the groundbreaking Laneways project.
Spearheaded by Australian developer Caydon, Drewery Place is 27 levels of luxury apartment living with an Australian twist. The Drewery Place name refers to a popular laneway (walkable alley) in Melbourne, Australia — Caydon's home base — and was also inspired by the tower's location on Drew Street.
What else sets it apart? Here's a peek.
Australian flair
Melbourne-styled interiors and stunning city views are just the start. The units all have European-style kitchens with natural stone counters and stainless steel appliances, and some feature dry bars and tech centers. Timber flooring and load of natural light are the norm, along with dual vanities in the bathrooms, ample storage, and spacious living areas. The vibe is modern, especially in the studios where barn doors offer separation of space.
Tech-forward
If you weren't already smart-home savvy, you will be now. Caydon gifts each Drewery Place resident an Alexa so you can connect all your smart devices, and also offers scene programable lighting, smart Honeywell thermostats, Latch Bluetooth-enabled door hardware, and a resident portal to provide control at your fingertips. An IT consultant is also on hand to help set up new tenants. Caydon has also teamed up with Apartment Butler to offer housekeeping and dog walking services to residents.
Urban lifestyle
Houston's largest pool deck. A private dog park. Yoga studio and lawn. Private cabanas at the resort-style pool. These amazing amenities are just a taste of what's waiting, along with package lockers, concierge service, valet, and a sky lounge with spectacular downtown views.
Retail therapy
In addition to apartment homes, the tower also has 13,000 square feet of shopping and restaurants space. Included among the current tenants are Black Swan Yoga, Earthcraft Juicery, and Kanua Sushi. Black Swan Yoga also leads community events on Saturdays, with Earthcraft Juicery providing all-natural, refreshing juices for an after-workout treat.
Incentive time
Ready to pack up and move in? Now's the time, as Drewery Place is offering one month free on a 13-month lease. There are also $1,000 look-and-lease incentives available plus gift cards, and don't forget about that free Alexa.
