A walkable Westheimer: New mixed-use project to bring a live, work & playepicenter in the Loop
The stretch of Westheimer Road between Highland Village and the 610 Loop is about to become even more walkable, now that a 12-acre tract on the northeast corner of Westheimer and Mid Lane is slated for a mixed-use development.
An affiliate of Stonelake Capital Partners has assembled the parcel in three separate transactions, dissolving a ground lease on a portion of the property, as Prime Property was first to report.
Stonelake has hired Gensler, an architecture firm headquartered in San Francisco to plan the development, which is anticipated to include a hotel, offices, retail shops and apartments.
That tract is nearly twice the size of Millennium High Street, a luxury apartment complex with ground-level restaurant space, which is slated to open just a stone's throw away in Spring 2013.
