Houston's own Jim Parsons, better known as Sheldon Cooper on the CBS sitcom Big Bang Theory, has recently upgraded his living situation to that of a true Hollywood celebrity.
Parsons listed the "starter home" he and his partner, Todd Spiewak, shared in the Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles for $1.85 million in January. Trulia's real estate blog revealed the pair finally found a buyer for the tastefully remodeled split-story home, complete with three bedrooms, two full baths and two half baths. While Parsons and Spiewak managed to sell the 2,827 square foot home for $1.57 million, the selling price is nothing compared to what the couple paid for their new digs.
The hacienda-style home was one of the first private residences built in the hills above Los Feliz.
The pair dropped $6.375 million on the Los Feliz home that Twilight's leading man Robert Pattinson once shared with co-star Kristen Stewart, located only a few blocks from Parsons' prior abode in the same neighborhood. According to Trulia, the hacienda-style home was one of the first private residences built in the hills above Los Feliz and was once owned by basketball legend Kareem-Abdul Jabbar.
Situated on a terraced 1.5 acre lot, Parsons' new 4,026 square foot residence — originally constructed in 1922 — features three bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms, as well as stunning gardens, a lagoon pool and incomparable city views.
With a successful primetime sitcom running for nearly seven years, three Emmy Award wins and a $325,000-per-episode contract (not to mention his major syndication money), it should come as no surprise that the Bayou City favorite is moving into a lavish A-lister pad.
