On The Market
NFL star's $2.35 million suburban Houston home quickly finds a buyer
While the upper end of the Houston housing market is sluggish due to low oil prices, some mansions are selling quickly. Former NFL player Keenan Wayne McCardell’s Fresno home had a contract just days after hitting the market.
The 10,651-square-foot mansion on a 4.34-acre lot has 5 bedrooms and 5 baths. If also features a pool with a water slide, an exercise gym and many lavish decorations.
Built in 2004, the home was listed at $2.35 million.
McCardell was drafted by the Washington Redskins in the 12th round of the 1991 NFL Draft, and he was also a member of the Cleveland Browns, Jacksonville Jaguars, San Diego Chargers and Houston Texans. A two-time Pro Bowl selection, McCardell won two Super Bowl rings, with the Redskins in 1991 and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2002. He played 17 seasons in the NFL.
He is currently the wide receivers coach for the University of Maryland Terrapins.
