Iconic French furniture-lifestyle brand crafts triumphant Houston return in Upper Kirby design mecca
Since 1860, family-run design house Ligne Roset has been beautifying homes across the globe — including Houston. While local design aficionados mourned the Houston outpost that abruptly shuttered in 2010, Houstonians can rejoice in the company's stylish return.
The luxe lifestyle and furniture brand’s new Houston presence is now open in Montrose design mecca BeDESIGN (2016 W. Alabama St.), the chic destination crafted by local power couple Adrian Dueñas and Marcelo Saenz.
“We are proud to welcome Ligne Roset as the first and only French brand at BeDESIGN,” Dueñas notes in a statement. “Our customers don't chase trends; rather, they follow their personal design intuition by incorporating timeless, yet modern pieces into their homes. Ligne Roset will be a welcome addition, as this community has an affinity for all things French.”
Those with an affinity for all things French can shop the iconic brand's decorative accessories, lighting, rugs, textiles, and occasional items. Favorite lines, such as Togo by Michel Ducaroy, Prado by Christian Werner, and Ottoman by Noé Duchaufour-Lawrance, will make a return.
Apropos for a new shop, the brand has also unveiled new designs from its latest collections.
Always with an eye for striking imagery, Dueñas and Saenz have ensured the second-floor Ligne Roset store will feature eye-catching art pieces from local talent. Ligne Roset's centuries-old French design and BeDESIGN's forward-looking European aesthetic make for the perfect pairing, a Ligne Roset executive notes.
"BeDESIGN is absolutely the perfect partner for Ligne Roset in Houston," Simone Vingerhoets-Ziesmann, executive vice resident of Ligne Roset Americas, notes in a statement." Adrian and Marcelo have built a strong community and have a deep understanding of their local market through their profound knowledge of interior design and incredible customer service.”
