We've seen a few man caves in recent years and most of them were more Sanford & Son than Downton Abbey. So we couldn't help but think how refreshing when the design team of Laurel & Wolf on-line interior design sent us images of one of their latest man cave creations.
It just happened to be for Houston Rocket power forward Terrence Jones.
After a car accident in February, Jones says he has a new appreciation for his home and family, adding it “really made me feel more blessed just about where I am and what I get to do.”
So time to make that home something special and fixing up that spare room that had been an empty space. Jones' one priority was to have a pool table after that, all else was icing on the design cake.
Jones hadn’t found time to do anything with the room that had been sitting empty in his home for more than a year. So he enlisted California-based Laurel & Wolf to coach him through the process of turning the blank canvas into a man cave. His one request? A pool table.
"My personal style says a lot about me – and I try to showcase that by the clothes I wear, along with any jewelry, watches, or shoes," Jones said in a press release.
"My man cave definitely represents my personal style really well. It’s clean cut and modern. I like what they did with the artwork and the connection to me with Nike, along with my bar set and even the carpet."
