Luxe Houston global travel company launches new fashion line and quest to help kids in need
Houston-based JetQuest, a luxury travel company founded by Jonathon Lewis in 2019, is gearing up for its inaugural fashion showcase on Friday, May 12 at 2220 Commerce St. The event will mark the JetQuest clothing brand's debut as a standalone entity and signify its partnership with the KNK Youth Foundation.
The KNK Youth Foundation, co-founded by Karen Galeano and Kaleigh Williamson, is a Houston-based non-profit organization focusing on local philanthropy and international volunteer trips, working with underprivileged youth and families needing basic living essentials such as food, clothing, and educational supplies.
The foundation also strives to enhance learning environments and provide necessary materials and resources for children.
JetQuest, established by Lewis two years ago, has successfully organized over 15 trips, providing clients with safe and unforgettable travel experiences, even during the pandemic.
Experiencing significant growth this year, JetQuest has scheduled four additional trips to popular destinations, including Tulum, Bali, Greece, and Dubai.
Lately, the company's mission has recently extended beyond luxury travel, leading to the creation of the JetQuest clothing line and the establishment of a partnership with the KNK Youth Foundation.
Reflecting on the inspiration behind this collaboration, JetQuest founder Jonathan Lewis said, "Before starting JetQuest, I went on multiple volunteer trips to Guatemala, where we built over 100 schools with the non-profit Hug It Forward. I saw what the KNK Youth Foundation founders, Karen and Kaleigh, were doing in Houston and Nicaragua and reached out. Then I realized they wanted to expand as I do, so it was a perfect partnership. Now that I have started JetQuest and feel we have mastered what we are doing, I know it is time to give back. I am excited about the good we can do."
The JetQuest clothing brand draws inspiration from renowned outdoor gear companies such as Patagonia, The North Face, and Essentials. Beyond aesthetics, the brand aims to convey a more profound message that resonates with its audience.
JetQuest endeavors to establish meaningful connections through its style and work in the world. The collection features a range of new clothing items, including graphic tees, trucker and bucket hats, and hoodies.
As for the fashion show, the night's highlight will be the official announcement of the JetQuest-KNK Youth Foundation partnership, accompanied by a fundraising initiative. Tickets for the event can be purchased online for $25 or $50 at the door on the day of the event. For every clothing item sold, $5 will be donated to the KNK Youth Foundation.
Adding an extra layer of expertise to the highly anticipated showcase, Daymion Anderson, the owner of Styled by Deeayego, will direct the models presenting the JetQuest clothing line.
Shoppers unable to attend the event but still interested in supporting the cause can purchase JetQuest's newest offerings online. And direct donations can be made to KNK Youth Foundation here.
