Houston's favorite daytime TV personality turned influencer, Courtney Zavala, just launched her first-ever collab with local apothecary and beauty market Source Vitál. Eight months in the making, "The Courtney Mask" is a custom, all-in-one cooling face mask perfect for all skin types that was created to simplify daily skincare routines.
Zavala, an avid supporter of Houston brands, discovered Source Vitál last year and fell in love with their line of natural products. After returning again and again to restock her favorites, a collaboration between the two was the obvious next step.

"I wanted to streamline my at-home skincare products," she tells CultureMap exclusively, "and 'The Courtney Mask' not only works to hydrate the skin but can be used as your last step before make-up—bye-bye primer. And the same product can do its best work while I sleep.
"I also wanted an at-home glow and plump that gives you similar results from having a facial."
Zavala's goal when creating her product was a clean, approachable and affordable product that checked multiple boxes. She worked with Colgin and Source Vitál's product lead, Sophia Peon-Levya for eight months on research, ingredient sourcing, and the formulation. "The Courtney Mask" features laminaria to restore and soothe skin, niacinamide to retain moisture and minimize pores, antioxidant-rich coffee extracts to promote ageless skin appearance, and other all-natural ingredients suitable for all skin types.

“As a businesswoman and mom of two busy boys, the last thing I have time for in the morning or at night is a lengthy skincare routine,” Zavala said. “I wanted to create something that was simple, yet effective, and could apply to women – or men – of all walks of life. The fact that this product is made of a blend of 100% natural ingredients is just the cherry on top.”
Before its launch, "The Courtney Mask" went through rigorous product testing including lab tests and product sampling by professionals within the industry to gather constructive feedback. Skincare enthusiasts can look forward to the final result – an all natural lightly scented mauve-pink mask that can be used as makeup primer, cooling mask, and/or sleep serum.

Zavala says that she is excited to work with Source Vitál to develop additional innovative, clean beauty products that work and notes that Houstonians can look forward to more products from their collaboration.

“The Courtney Mask” is available in two sizes — 1 oz. or 2 oz. — and can be purchased at Source Vitál’s storefront located at 1291 N. Post Oak Rd #125 and online. It will soon be available at several local boutiques, day spas, and salons in Houston.
