Hot Men's Fashion Trend
Jewel-tone blazers are hot men's fashion trend for dress-up season
With the holidays just around the corner, there's not better time for men to jump on the latest fashion trend.
"If you don't own a velvet blazer get one, because it's so versatile," says Neiman Marcus men's fashion director Matthew Singer. "You can wear it for a formal event or wear it with jeans and a T-shirt and make it look cool. I love it for formal use with the tuxedo pant that you already own. Every man should own a tuxedo so hopefully you have one. And throw on that velvet blazer and it makes it just super chic."
Singer showcased some men's fashion trends at the Galleria store, and the runway show featured blazers in gemstone colors and colorful patterns.
"The colors of the season — it's all about gemstones, deep burgundy and sapphire blue and emerald greens," he says. "And have fun with it. Everyone is going to be in a black tuxedo, so stand out. You don't want to overkill the groom or the bride at a wedding, but just have a little fun with it. And maybe you don't wear a bow tie or a tie and your pocket square is your tie for the evening.
"It's a dress-up season. Men are starting to dress better, starting to care more, so it's going to be a dress-up for a while."
